Exercise

Here it is . . . .

This is where Do It The Hard Way gets Hard! The food is tasty, you may even find that it's becoming fun to prepare. But this is where the work starts . . . EXERCISE.

Exercise is the true fountain of youth, and perhaps the best thing you can do to turn back your biological clock. If food is the fuel that keeps your engine running, then exercise is the action that will kick it into high gear. The most important thing I have learned about exercise is finding something that works for you, something that inspires you enough to want to do it again. Everybody's different and at a different level of fitness, so experiment to find your niche.

Over the course of my adult life I have gone through several different phases regarding exercise. Running and weight lifting during my 20s, then hiking, aerobics, and Pilates in later years. But recently I have found a system that works better than anything I've ever tried in the past - P90X. One of the great things about P90X is that it literally encompasses all of these activities! It's also important to note that P90X is only one of many great workout program by Beach Body, so if P90X doesn't fit your fitness level or tastes, I'm sure there's another one that does.

What is P90X®?

P90X® is a comprehensive in-home fitness and nutrition program proben to burn fat and reshape your body with lean muscle in just 90 days. In fact, if P90X® doesn't get you absolutely ripped in 90 days, you'll get your money back.

12 different workouts target every area of your body, incorporating moves used by elite athletes, gymnasts, weightlifters, and martial artists. In addition to cardio, strength training, and stretching, you'll develop extreme overall fitness with bodyweight exercies such as pull-ups and push-ups, as well as plyometrics (jump training), yoga, and Kempo.

Your personal trainer Tony Horton demonstrates each move, showing a modiefied version for those still building strength and flexibility. Most important, he'll keep you engaged, motivated, and even amused every step of the way.

In P90X® Tony continually switches up your routine, constantly adding new exercies during the program's 3 phases. This variety challenges your muscles and keeps them from getting accustomed to the workouts over time. Instead of leveling off, your body keeps improving - without you ever getting stuck or bored.

P90X® isn't for everyone, it is an extreme workout. But that's the beauty of the Beachbody sysyem; there's something for everyone. Click here to view and/or print a side-by-side comarision of all the Beachbody workouts. I guarantee you'll find one (or more!) that you will fall in love with - just like I have with P90X®.

Your exercise program needs to take into account any health problems that you have. First, make sure you talk with your health care provider before beginning any kind of exercise program. When you've been given the go-ahead to start an exercise program, be sure to work any specific restrictions your health care provider has recommended into the Do It The Hard Way plan.
